Ms. Valastro's fourth grade class went back in time to experience life as children during colonial times.
"ONCE A SAINT, ALWAYS A SAINT!"
Some highlights from the evening...
"The Edge of the Nest" is a success!
Congratulations to the cast and crew on the success of "The Edge of the Nest". Under the direction of Anne Schiller, the children were given an opportunity to put their talents on display! Thanks to all the parents without whose help this would not be possible.
USO Region 5K
Parochial schools in the Ulster, Sullivan and Orange Region joined together to raise money for the Region by running and walking a 5K route that started and ended at John S. Burke Catholic. Congratulations to Sacred Heart School for having the largest number of participants!!

Our Mother’s Cupboard
151 Stage Road ~ Monroe, NY 10950 ~ 845-783-7840
Our Mother’s cupboard celebrated its Grand Opening on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Chapel. Every Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30pm, those in need will be able to obtain diapers, formula, baby cereal, meats, fruits and vegetables. There is no charge for this service.
The Mother’s Cupboard is sponsored by the students of Sacred Heart School. The students are responsible for obtaining donations, stocking the shelves and being present to distribute the items. They will also provide babysitting while the moms are obtaining the supplies. We are looking for volunteer parents to take a more active role in the Cupboard’s Thursday afternoon activities. We need more parent and student volunteers to help sort baby food, diapers, groceries, and clothing items while providing assistance and support to the young mothers who cross the threshold. There is even a small library where children can come to read. It would be nice to have some of our older students there to read and entertain the little ones while mothers shop. If you are at all interested in helping out, even if it is only for one Thursday a month, please call the office. Many hands make light work.
Sacred Heart Moms
Sacred Heart Moms meet twice a month for enrichment in our Catholic faith
Sacred Heart Moms meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month in the Parish Center at 10AM. Grandmothers, children, and babies are welcome. The goal for our group is to grow together in the life of Christ as Catholic women and to strive in these changing times for a Christian family life. Contact Cindy Shea or the church office for more information.
